And remember baby, that I'll always be there to catch you when you fall!~! Dallas smirked. He thought for a moment. " Right here..." He smiled down at her and then kept on driving. " And second to here....probably France....I hear it's extremely beautiful." He looked over to her as she jumped from the lightening. Giving a soft chuckle, he put his right arm over the back of the seat, letting her know he was there if she needed a shoulder to hide on. " Hmm one thing I could not live without. Well that'd probably be my sister. She's gotten me through some pretty tough times....." He paused. " She's even seen me cry...but shhhh..." He smirked. " Don't tell the team that or they'd kill me." He laughed again. Her next question startled him. He really preferred not to answer that one because it made him sound weak. He looked at her with a sweet face. " You're going to think I'm a total pansy...but I really cannot stand spiders." He blushed. "I don't know..they just creep me out.....alot." His face flushed again and he chuckled softly. It wasn't that bad he suppposed, but still..he hated that a pretty girl that he was falling for had to know it. Dallas noticed she was smiling at him, he looked down at her. " What are you grinning at Miss Carson?" He asked softly, the radio now playing a quieter tune. The glow that the cloudy sky made, gave her face the perfect hint of light and made her seem even more beautiful....

"Don't worry about this heart of mine..." So he had a sensative side? She liked that about guys. Kendall had always been scared to show emotions other then the ones you'd think a guy should show... In her mind, that made him a pansy because he was afraid.. "Well I kinda like guys who aren't afraid to show emotion.. it means they're not afraid of most other things.. except for spiders.." she added, joking with him... "Which is fine, because I don' t like them either." She was still trying to figure out what he meant by "here"... It was funny, but she wasn't sure whether he was meaning the truck.. or.. the town?
She looked over at him as she asked her what she was grinning about, and grinned brighter.. "Wouldn't you like to know?" she asked, teasingly, and then relaxed back into his arm, which she'd not noticed was there for a moment, though she remembered him putting it there.. God he was perfect.. where had he been hiding all this time, that he just now showed up when she could have used him a year ago..
Well maybe it was better late then never.. Yeah.. much better..

And remember baby, that I'll always be there to catch you when you fall!~! Dallas smiled. " Well I guess we better not run into a big spider....or else we're both screwed." He chuckled and took a left turn onto another highway, nearly to Oregon. At her little hard to get game, he shook his head. " Why yes...I would like to know," He gave her puppy eyes and looked at her for a mere moment before he gave his eyes back to the road. The last thing he needed was to kill her before he got the chance to kiss her.. WAIT KISS HER!? Why was he suddenly feeling the need to kiss her or hold her closer? Maybe he had stronger feelings for her, than he was aware. But atleast she wasn't shying away from him anymore....maybe he'd be able to atleast hug her by the end of the night..yeah that'd be something right there...just to hold her. Though he'd probably have a hard time letting go. But what really caught him offguard, was when she actually did lean into his arm. He liked that feeling. Kind of made him feel a bit special...like he had the prettiest girl with him and no one could take her away. Atleast not if he could help it. His hand unconciously began to rub her shoulder gently as if he was soothing her from the lightening that kept on hitting the ground. This was a nice feeling...He didn't want it to end.

"Just take your love and hit the road..." She shook her head... "I don't really think you wanna know, but you think you do, because I haven't told you yet.. it's human nature." She snickered, evily, of course, and then looked out the window. The feeling of his fingers rubbing her shoulder gently was relaxing, and if she'd not seen the olive garden sign on the exit, she'd have dozed off. She sighed softly, looking up at him sideways, so her head didn't turn, and maybe he'd not notice..
"But I do kind of want to tell you.."
She smiled, and then sat up, still in his arm's reach, but not leaning into him like she had been. She didn't want to move away from him at all, but she figured she'd need to see him better to say what she was going to say. "You are my own personal sunshine, ya know? I mean, I felt like I was getting rained on, but now I'm all better thanks to you.. I appreciate that. You don't know how much you've helped me.." She nodded softly, and then leaned back into his arm.. "I owe you alot for this... so.. I guess I'm asking you out on a date? Yeah... how about.. this saturday, you come to the basketball game with me.. and then we can go to the later movie..." She blinked slowly, and thought about it.
"Or.. they're having a bonfire at the beach Friday.. You wanna do that?"

And remember baby, that I'll always be there to catch you when you fall!~! Dallas put on a pout as she continued to refuse the answer he wanted to hear. What could be so special to smile about that he couldn't know? It had to be something good. He could tell. But when she knelt up on the seat to tell him, he kept one hand on the wheel still and turned to face her, though his eyes still on the road from time to time. He was pretty good at driving like that by now. When she began explaining what she was feeling, a smile found its way onto his face. He nodded. " Well I can say that you've done the same for me...whether you knew it or not." He tucked a piece of hair behind her ear with the arm on the back of the seat. As she leaned back against him, he smiled and turned his head back to the road getting off the highway towards Olive Garden. He almost stomped on the brakes out of shock when those next words left her lips...her perfect pink lips... " A date?" He asked looking down at her. He pulled into the parking lot and parked in the corner next to the curb. He took off his seatbelt and turned his body to face her now, his arm still around her. "Yeah..I'd like that..." He smiled. "And I think the bonfire would be more fun for us both..besides...we can walk down the beach later on..." A date with Carson...He could see that that hug and kiss could be happening sooner than he had even planned 10 minutes ago. And he liked the thought of that. He gave her a wink and opened the door to the cab of the truck and got out. Walking to the other side, he opened her door and grabbed her by the waist gently pulling her down from the truck. Feeling her in his arms...it gave him chills.

"There's nothing you can do or say..." She was excited when they pulled into Olive Garden... so he thought like she did? Well he was a growing teenage boy, and it was no wonder he needed a lot of food to keep him going. She smiled when he got up and went to open her door. However, she'd not anticipated the drop out of his truck.. It'd not seemed so large when she first got in.. Overstepping, though he had her by the waist, she began to fall.. And then he had caught her. She gave him a chuckle, leaning into him as he set her carefully on the ground, still close to him.. She didn't want to leave, strangely enough.. because it was dry, but dark and cloudy for now... and if she stayed close to him, it bettered her chances of staying warm and dry if it did start raining..
Pushing the door shut with her arm behind her, she gave him a grin, leaning into him still. She didn't want to leave, and maybe he'd gathered that. It was too cozy in his arms. She however, realized how ridiculous that sounded in her own mind, just meeting the kid, and leaned out of his arms, standing straight on her own two feet. Readjusting her shirt, which had risen and crumpled due to their fiasco, she pulled it over her revealed skin, and then fluffed her hair around her curls, the humidity causing them to curl tighter then they already were.
"Uh.. Thanks Dallas. I really forgot how far it was down.."
She tossed a look towards the resturaunt, half reminding herself and Dallas where they were and that now wasn't the time to be cuddling eachother (no matter how tempting it was). She slowly took a step away from him towards the front doors, testing it almost to see if she could stand walking away from him. When it only twinged, she knew she was okay for the moment. However, it would suck when he had to say goodnight tonight... Hopefully he didn't have a girlfriend.. Wait.. didn't he say he wasn't even going to ask the head cheerleader out? Well then of course he didn't have a girlfriend.
YES! She felt like dancing inside... Did she even have a chance? She'd find out...

And remember baby, that I'll always be there to catch you when you fall!~! Dallas' eyes subconciously closed as Carson leaned into him. He loved this feeling. It was the best thing in the world. Having a beautiful girl in his arms. One who wasn't stuck up. One who cared for more than just her looks. And one who didn't treat him like a peice of meat. She truly was everything he could have possibly dreamed for in the perfect 'Dallas Proof' girl. When she let go, it was almost as if a part of him was missing now. Like she had taken a peice of his heart along with her. Not that he minded. She could take all of his heart if she wanted. He'd give her the world too. Anything. At her voice, he let himself snap back to reality. " Oh it's no problem..." He gave her a soft smile. When he saw her head lean towards the restaurant, he got the same vibe as her. They couldn't possibly do anything now. And that made him a bit distressed on the inside. " Well come on then.." He looked down at her with another smile and took her hand gently. He lead her towards the doors. Opening it for her, he let her in first, then followed. Walking to the hostess, he smiled and simply said that there were two of them. She lead them to a booth, quite simply far from everyone else. He liked that. It meant they could have time to themselves.

"You're gunna break my heart anyways..." When he spoke to the waitress, she did a little dance behind him, still on her high about him being single... And her having a chance. She stopped and grinned when he led her with him towards the table the waitress was putting them at... It was quiet, so at least they could have a proper conversation, and not want to muder other people for talking too loud. Scooting into the booth on one side, she took the center lying space in it, and then reached for the menu... The waitress rattled off special house drinks, and it was astounding to Carson..
Did she look of drinking age?
She shook her head politely.. "I'll just have the raspberry tea..." The girl nodded, and tossed a grin to Dallas, which infuriated Carson to no ends... When she took his drink order, and then said she'd be back to take their order to Dallas and only Dallas, she cleared her throat.. "Thanks.." She gave a rather harsh smile, though tight lipped, and watched the girl hurry away..
"Okay.. sorry.. I was rude.. but still.. It was like I wasn't even here!" She shook her head, and looked over at him, smiling.. Well compared to him, she viewed herself as plain... But whichever. It wasn't her fault, nor his, that he was a perfect vision of "god" sitting right in front of her.. Well not god, but perhaps the greek version of a hunk.. He was incredibly good looking. She didn't know his heritage, but he was one lucky sonofagun for getting off as good as he had.
She looked up when the waitress returned, and grinned.. "I want the Grilled Shrimp Caprese.." and then watched her as she immediately wrote it down, not giving her time to gawk at Dallas. Wow, defensive much? She waited for a moment while Dallas ordered, writing vigerously. Perhaps she got the message? She took off, and Carson nodded. Good job... for scaring her away.. She'd give her a tip at least. Looking over at Dallas, she smirked..
"Wanna play 20 questions?"

And remember baby, that I'll always be there to catch you when you fall!~! Dallas took notice to the fact that the waitress was paying much to much attention to him. Truthfully he found it quite annoying. He gave her a polite smile but that was it. "I'll have a coke, thanks." He said and then turned his attention immediately back to Carson. When she spoke up, he smiled. "Don't worry...I never like those kind of girls." He gave her a wink. When the watiress came back, he gave her her order, his usual the bacon burger, no onions or peppers. When she flirted again, he thought of something. Keeping his eyes on Carson, he took her hand in his and rubbed his thumb over her skin. He smirked at her as the waitress walked away disgusted. " I don't think she'll be bothering us much longer."At her suggestion, he smiled. "OK you ask first." He said leaning back in his seat. And then he noticed that he was still holding her hand. But he didn't dare let go. He liked it too much.

"So just leave the peices when you go..." She felt her cheeks heat when he reached for her hand, his gentle fingers wrapping around hers. He was so warm... whereas she is usually cold. It was a nice temperature change. Seattle just sucked when it came to warmer weather. The summers were damn humid, considering that it was placed smack dab in one of the wettest places in the US. She laughed softly when the waitress seemed to be turned off, and then looked back at him, his hand still on hers.. "Okay.. Uh.."
She had to think.. where had they left off?
"What is your favoirite kind of car?" she began, thinking it was a simple question. She liked the truck he drove. It was older, but ran smoothly for it's model and age, and she liked older cars anyways. Vintage was awesome. One of the first she had was her uncle's old '66 mustang. Sadly, thanks to her unexpertise in cars way back then, she had failed and it died. Well that didn't go over too well with her uncle, but he forgave her, and together they fixed it, thus why she knew how to take care of her cars today. She loved that car... Actually missed it.. It was candy apple red, all chromed out.. and ran like a dream..
Till she killed it. She was still made at herself for that one. Now she had a '98 eclipse... She was going to trade it in with the 'cash for clunkers' program soon, and get one of the eclipse spiders. They were perfection. But then again, with the new camero's out, she wasn't sure. Tearing her thoughts from cars, she looked over at Dallas, and immediately sank lower into the seat.. God he was gorgeous.. She'd never get over that...

And remember baby, that I'll always be there to catch you when you fall!~! Dallas knew the answer to her question almost immediately. "I grew up with cars....and I have to say there was this one old car that I absolutely loved. It was an old British Bentley. Beautiful peice of art work. But after we restored it, someone bought it and basically totaled it. Broke my heart." He laughed softly. He thought for a moment trying to think of a good question. He didn't dare go anywhere near the romance category for her right now. He knew it was still a tender subject. He got one. " What's your favorite movie of all time?" He asked taking a sip of his coke, never even realizing that the waitress had brought them over. She was probably too aggrivated iwth the lovey dovey couple. And he liked that. He wanted to spend all his attention on Carson and no one else.

"I close the door, like so many times, so many times before....." She nodded. So he liked vintage too? Awesome! She thought about his question. God, she had a "best movie" list at home, but she was having a hard time remembering what order she had them in now.. What was number one? She wracked her brain for the longest time, thinking over and over what it was, and then gave up. Maybe it would be better to categorize this time.. "uh.. Romantic would have to be the Notebook.. comedy would have to be Yes Man, Romantic Comedy would have to be the Ugly Truth, Fantasy would have to be Lord of the Rings, and if I was being just action, it would be Transformers 2... I loved it." She smiled at her list, and nodded.
Well she couldn't just be normal, could she.
"If you could do one thing to show your crush how you feel, what would it be?" HA! Tae that one Dallas. She felt like it was a good question though, because it wasn't stupid, but not too simple. It was just... there. She waited for him to answer, reaching for her tea, and sipped at it gingerly. She loved raspberry anything.. cheescake, tea, icecream and sorbet.. She loved it all. She even had this raspberry and vanilla lotion once... She almost died every time she used it from wanting to eat it so badly.. I know, she was weird... Well still kinda was.
Leaning back in her seat, she remained quiet, waiting..

And remember baby, that I'll always be there to catch you when you fall!~! Dallas listened intently as she listed off all her favorite movies. He smiled. He liked every single one of those. He loved it when girls liked the same movies as him. And it didn't happen often. With every word that left her mouth, he fell more and more in love with her. Wait. Now he was in love with her? He thought about it for a moment. Yeah...he was falling in love with her. She was too perfect to be ignored like her ex had done. Dallas couldn't ever imagine cheating on her. She seemed so sweet and simple...Nothing to be emotionally abused like she was hours ago. That was just cruel..very cruel. And Dallas would do anything and everything it took to make her happy again. At her next question, he smirked. Getting up from his side of the table, he slid into her booth and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and then leaned in and pressed his lips to her cheek gently. Pulling away, he looked down at her. " Good enough of an answer?" He asked with a light blush to his cheeks. Yeah..he did it. His feelings were right out there....There was no taking it back now.

"Feels like a scene on the cutting room floor." Her face flushed brightly, she just knew it, when his lips met her cheek. She kept her composure, however, and laughed.. "Well that's very sweet of you, whomever this young woman is.. She's lucky.. you know what I'd do though? I'm a little more brash.." Seeing the waitress peer around the corner of the doorway, she smiled, and then leaned forward, her lips touching his... She sighed softly, and was sure he noticed, but she didn't care.. It was bliss, touching his lips... Absolutely amazing. He truly was a godly creature, if his kisses were like that.. even without much effort..
She felt her cheeks heat again, and she looked away, reaching for her drink..
"So.. I do believe it's your turn to ask a question, Mr. Reynolds.." She tossed him a sideways glance, and leaned back in her seat, her hands in her lap, pretending to fiddle with her zipper, wondering why it was broken.. it'd been broken for a while now, but he didn't know that.. It was something to do to bide her time and play off her blush... Plus.. He still had to think up a question after that.. The glare on the waitresses face turned to a frown, and she almost looked like she was going to cry and run away right there..
It wasn't Carson's problem... She got there first..

And remember baby, that I'll always be there to catch you when you fall!~! Dallas saw her blush and knew now that she had to feel the same. Atleast he hoped so. But what she did next...That sent him flying inside. As her lips came on his, he let his hands grip her waist gently and he kissed her back ever so softly. When she pulled away, it was much to quick. He wanted her lips to stay...He wanted her to stay with him. But he knew they needed to get back to their little game. He could kiss her again later. He tried his best to hide his blush, though with his tan cheeks, he had the avantage. " Umm What do you want to do once you graduate?" He asked, a bit nervous now. He just wanted to kiss her again. He didn't care about dinner or any of that. He just wanted her back. It was like god sent him his personal angel that day. One that he could hold and kiss and talk too. One that was perfect in every way. Sure she had said that he was her personal sunshine. But she had turned out to be so much more to him than what he had expected.
